As part of the Diamond District Community Outreach Program, the Diamond District project team will host onsite career development and Safety Training events for City of Richmond residents, students, and underrepresented trade partners. City of Richmond residents who are looking to find employment in the construction industry will have the opportunity to be trained on various safety topics and earn certifications to help jump-start their job search.

Topics for individuals will include OSHA 10 Hour Certification, Fall Protection, Equipment Operator Training, among many others. Trade partners involved with the project and others serving the community will receive training based on their safety experience level and topics will include OSHA Regulatory Compliance, Hazard Assessments, Onsite Worker Safety, among others. Students from local community programs will have the opportunity to gain in their safety knowledge along with learning about topics such as urban development, community planning, and construction economics. The project team will consult with local training partners to curate each training event.
